I am happy to hear this is not a bedbug and I will keep an eye out for inky black spots like you said, but I haven’t seen any, so I am optimistic I don’t have an infestation. Ich interessiere mich auch f\u00fcr K\u00e4fer, da es im letzten Sommer am East End von Long Island eine ungew\u00f6hnliche Anzahl zu geben scheint. Sie wurden von den Einheimischen hier \"Stinkk\u00e4fer\" genannt. Ich werde Ihnen ein weiteres Foto desselben K\u00e4fers schicken, diesmal nicht auf dem R\u00fccken liegend, und vielleicht k\u00f6nnen Sie die genaue Art identifizieren. Ich war auf jeden Fall erleichtert, dass es keine Bettwanze war, genauso wie meine Tochter, die sie in ihrem Bett fand!
