Por debajo de los 13 \u00b0C, todo el desarrollo cesa, las hembras dejan de poner y los huevos que han puesto no eclosionan. Por encima de 36\u00baC, los da\u00f1os en los simbiontes bacterianos, que ayudan a la s\u00edntesis de micronutrientes, provocan una reducci\u00f3n de la fecundidad y la supervivencia.
