I am happy to hear this is not a bedbug and I will keep an eye out for inky black spots like you said, but I haven’t seen any, so I am optimistic I don’t have an infestation. Here are some other angles, in case it helps identify the bug, but if it doesn’t help, that’s ok; I am just happy it’s not a bedbug.\u00a0I can’t express enough how much I appreciate your help. Je m'int\u00e9resse \u00e9galement aux col\u00e9opt\u00e8res, car il semble y avoir eu un nombre inhabituel de col\u00e9opt\u00e8res l'\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier dans l'est de Long Island. Les habitants les ont appel\u00e9s \"punaises puantes\". Je vous enverrai une autre photo du m\u00eame insecte, cette fois-ci non couch\u00e9 sur le dos, et vous pourrez peut-\u00eatre identifier l'esp\u00e8ce exacte. J'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 soulag\u00e9e que ce ne soit pas une punaise de lit comme l'a \u00e9t\u00e9 ma fille qui l'a trouv\u00e9e dans son lit !
