Under min tj\u00e4nstg\u00f6ring i Royal Air Force Police utbildade jag mig till milit\u00e4r hundf\u00f6rare. I takt med att min karri\u00e4r fortskred och med befordringar kvalificerade jag mig och utf\u00f6rde olika andra roller, bland annat som specialutredare och genomf\u00f6rde flera civila polisutbildningar, kontraspionage, instrukt\u00f6rsuppgifter och lufttransports\u00e4kerhet. Alla dessa roller gav mig m\u00f6jlighet att resa runt i v\u00e4rlden, till en del trevliga och mindre trevliga platser! Jag lyckades dock fortfarande delta aktivt i hundtr\u00e4ningen och hade det \u00f6vergripande ansvaret f\u00f6r hundsektionerna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efter att ha l\u00e4mnat milit\u00e4ren har jag utbildats och utf\u00f6rt operativa uppgifter inom hundsp\u00e5rning av spr\u00e4ng\u00e4mnen och droger, d\u00e4r jag framg\u00e5ngsrikt har arbetat vid h\u00f6gprofilerade evenemang, bland annat de olympiska spelen i London och Royal Ascot. Jag har erh\u00e5llit min l\u00e4rarutbildning (PTLLS) och har varit starkt involverad i grund- och vidareutbildning av b\u00e5de hundar och hundf\u00f6rare inom en rad olika discipliner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jag utbildade mig till hundf\u00f6rare f\u00f6r uppt\u00e4ckt av s\u00e4ngbakterier f\u00f6r n\u00e4stan 10 \u00e5r sedan och f\u00f6rutom att utbilda hundar och hundf\u00f6rare har jag varit fullt operativ och utf\u00f6rt s\u00f6kningar p\u00e5 en m\u00e4ngd olika platser i Storbritannien, inklusive hotell, vandrarhem, v\u00e5rdhem, \u00e4ventyrscenter f\u00f6r barn, sociala bost\u00e4der, privata bost\u00e4der och h\u00e4kten. Jag har nyligen blivit assessor f\u00f6r Bed Bug Foundation (BBF) och har just b\u00f6rjat i den nya rollen som BBF-representant f\u00f6r Storbritannien. B\u00e5da dessa uppdrag ser jag fram emot att utf\u00f6ra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jag tycker om att arbeta med hundar, l\u00e4ra mig nya f\u00e4rdigheter och utveckla handledare. Jag har ut\u00f6kat mina kunskaper ytterligare genom att nyligen genomf\u00f6ra och tilldelas en Foundation Degree in Science, Canine Studies (med utm\u00e4rkelse).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jag \u00e4r engagerad i BBF eftersom jag anser att det \u00e4r en organisation som \u00e4r best\u00e4md och som genom oberoende bed\u00f6mningar kan se till att dess hundteam \u00e4r seri\u00f6sa och h\u00e5ller h\u00f6g standard.
